How do limos on a wedding day work?

Pauline, on July 30, 2018 at 10:11 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4
I am trying to find a limo company but have no idea how they work. Does the limo pick up my fiance and the groomsmen first, bring them to the church and then pick the bride and bridesmaids after? Everyone lives far from each other and also the church is 45 minutes away from the reception. Also, does the limo driver stay until the end of the night and takes the whole bridal party back to the bride's house and then the groom's house because that's where their cars were? I really have no idea how they work or the pricing. Please help!

    1) I think it depends on where you’re getting ready. My bridal party would be picked up had we chose limos bc we are getting dressed at the location..the limo would come back for the men. 2) Could each party (grooms/brides side) meet/be at one location to be picked up? It may make more sense for timimg purposes. 3)The amount of time you have them depends on the package/how long you have them. Have you tried inquiring w/ companies? If cost is a concern, Uber XL is also a great & affordable option.

I will be paying hourly and they will be making two trips within a 3 hour timeframe. This works for me be the groom and groomsmen are riding a fire truck to the ceremony and my entire bridal party will be staying at the hotel that my reception is at. We will be arranging to drop off cars at my reception venue the night before.

We are renting 2 buses. One to take the bridesmaids at 10 AM and another to take the groomsmen at 2 PM. The ladies are getting ready at the venue. At the end of the night, we will go home on transportation with all the other guests. In my experience, no, the transportation doesn't stay throughout the event. They just come back when it's over.

Hi Pauline! You could definitely have the limo driver first drop off the groomsmen and return to pick up you and your bridal party! This depends on where you all will be getting ready at, so I would factor this in to see what will work best! The limo driver also typically leaves after the reception, but you can communicate with yours to see what options you have!
