How did you meet your love ?

We met on Facebook dating. My teenage daughter picked out his profile, took my phone from me and swiped right- I talked to him online and on the phone for a month before we met in person. One week after we met face to face we went on our first date. We were engaged 9 months after that and 6 months after the engagement we are 1 week away from our big day.

He spilled coffee on me and I thought he was a jerk for 10+ years. Then I accidentally accepted a job which meant having to work with him. We were eventually nice to each other and that morphed into dating.

My husband and I met, over 40 years ago while working together on a tourist steam train ride! At the time, we were both conductors, later, he became the fireman on the steam locomotive, then engineer, and I moved up to fireman. Yes, I have actually fired a full sized steam locomotive, and yes, I knew what I was doing. My husband taught me; he is, by profession, a power plant engineer, and has also run steam locomotives, for all his adult life. He has a Gold Seal Engineer's License with a Blue Seal Locomotive Engineer's license. To our knowledge, he's the only one in the state to have this license. Anyway, we began hanging out while we were working on the tourist railroad, just as friends. About a year later, hanging out turned to dating. About a year later, he proposed. We are currently planning a "convalidation" ceremony in June when we will also celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary. I am Roman Catholic and we could not have a Catholic wedding back then.
