Hi Dana, No, you do not need a wedding theme. I and my fiancé both love Victorian and antiques, so it was a no brainer theme for us. Many people just bring their wedding together with their favorite colors. It'll look perfect.

We didn't actually have a theme. My husband liked to say our theme was "wedding." We came up with a general color scheme that worked with our venue space and based decor decisions on that because we wanted a beautiful wedding that we and our guests would enjoy. Unless there is something that you feel really needs to be a theme because it speaks to you as a couple, I don't think weddings NEED a theme.

I don’t necessarily have a theme. We just went with our favorite colors. I love blue and he loves orange. So we decided on navy blue and burnt orange for our wedding

We simply chose colors that we liked and that we thought went well with the venue and season. Our theme was just wedding! In my opinion, elaborate themes make the event remind me of a child’s birthday party.

You definitely don’t need a theme. I wanted more of a “feel” versus a theme, so I designed around that. Stick with a feeling (romantic, classic, modern, etc) and you’ll be good.

I swore up and down we wouldn't have a theme, but DH just laughed and kept suggesting things that were "us". So ... our theme ended up as Phillies baseball and theatre. Which is "us".

Pick the things that make *you two* happy, and you can't go wrong.

You don't need a theme. In all honesty themes can sometimes end up looking tacky.

My “theme” was winter wonderland. Nice and elegant. Shades of blue with plenty of sparkle.
I looked through Pinterest and thought about what feel I wanted our wedding to have. I also took into account season and our venue. Having an idea helps when choosing decor and things. You want to have a cohesive look. You don’t have to have a theme per-say, but I do recommend sitting down and discussing and visualizing what you want you Day to look like.

You don’t need a theme for your wedding. Our venue is gorgeous with exposed beams & brick with fountains on the inside & outside. Has vines on the walls.. gives it the Italian feel. We just chose our colors & that was it.

You don't need a theme. It's completely optional.

Wedding is a theme you don't need one, My venue is a barn with beautiful chandeliers. We are having our theme be Country Romance. but it's settle. Good luck and congrats

I used Beauty and the Beast theme because our characters and past was similar to the story. However, I won’t use any theme on my wedding to keep it neutral 😉
