How did you choose your first dance song?

FH and I are dancing to "Hotel California" by the Eagles. It's not romantic by any means, but it was the first song we ever danced to together :-) it has always held sentimental value for us!

We are dancing to "It's your Love" by Tim McGraw. it just describes us too a T. It took a while before we both decided on this one.

We are dancing to "Then" by Brad Paisley. we do have very different tastes in music, but i feel slow songs are easier to converge on. Also, I took FH to canada for a weekend to see a brad paisley show as his christmas present when we were seniors in college. I remember that song came on, and I didn't really know it, but FH put his arms around me and sang it to me. *melt* the lyrics are also perfect for us.

Ever since I was a kid I've wanted my wedding song to be Rod Stewart's "You're in my heart." Thankfully, FH likes the song too and he agreed to it. Honestly, he didn't really have a choice though!

FH and I are dancing to Three Days Grace's Lost In You. Definitely not a traditional song but its our song. 3DG was the first concert we went to together.

I am a sucker for oldies tunes---FH hired a street group to sing to me as he proposed by the waterfront! One of the songs that they sang (and one of my favorites to say the least!) was "Stand By Me: Ben E. King". Needless to say I think that will definitely be our song, totally us and definitely sentimental

"Our Love is Here to Stay" by Ella Fitzgerald & Louie Armstrong. Wanted something timeless, an old standard, and wanted it to be upbeat. I didn't want anything too sappy. FH and I will already by crying messes.
