How Can I Dispute a Vendor's Reviews??

To post a review here, you have to prove that you used the vendor; you also can't use the same ISP that the vendor has (in other words, their friends can't go in on their computers and write reviews). This is a question for the mods.

@Celia - that's not necessarily true...None of the reviews I posted required me to provide proof

I'd just keep posting the poor review on every review site like yelp, fb, etc

Weird. That's what we've been told as vendors; that a contract has to be in place. Maybe it's only a factor if there is a dispute?

Good question. We have security measures that can decipher whether or not reviews are a) written by the same person over and over again or b) written by the vendor themselves.

Please PM or email me (laurens@weddingwire.com) the vendor name you are concerned with and I'd be happy to take a look for you!

@Celia we'll look into reviews if they are disputed or if suspicion arises through our security measures (which are pretty reliable). Still, we're always happy to take a closer look at reviews and investigate further if need be.

ETA: Every reviewer must check off a box that states 'I certify that I had a signed contract or conducted business with this vendor' before leaving their review.

WWLauren: while we have your attention. I went back to try to do a review for my photographer and it will not let me do a review. Is that because I let too much time pass?

@Mrs Drakthal -- can you please show me what error messaging you received? As long as your wedding date is in the past you should be able to review your photographer, regardless of how long you waited to do so.

I went back to add the Photographer, a screen pops up that says "What vendor would you like to review" and when I type in Sean M Posey Photography it just stays on that screen and will not pull it up. I tried typing in other vendor names and it does the same thing.

@Mrs Drakthal-- it looks like your vendor doesn't currently have an account on WeddingWire. After you enter their name in the search, you should still have the option of adding them to our database. Please see the screenshot below.

If you're not able to navigate to that point (or beyond) please let me know!

Abby, reviews can be sorted by newest, oldest, highest, lowest.

Mrs. Drakthal, have you looked up your photographer under another name (Posey Photography or SMP Photography, etc.)? You don't want to create a second page for him if he already has one he created.

My first review here was posted by a bride before I knew WW existed. When I found it, I then created my storefront.
