How big is your rehearsal dinner?

I am only slightly freaking the fuck out over the size of our guest list for the rehearsal dinner. Granted, not everyone will attend, but it has skyrocketed to 62! Not only that, but FH and I already combed over the entire list and there was not one person we could scratch off. The only people invited who are not family or in the bridal party are my 2 friends who live in Japan.

At this rate our rehearsal dinner will probably be like $700. Guess it could be worse? Someone please tell me I'm not crazy for having a rehearsal dinner that's half the size of the entire wedding...

With that many people I would keep it simple. Pizza is a great route to go. I had 40 people and the cost came in at $400. I figured 12 pizza's (5 deep dish) and (7 thin crust). 10 pitchers of beer and 10 pitchers of soda. There was 1 1/2 pizza's left over and the amount of beer and pop was perfect. I figured when the beer ran out than that would be it. I didn't want everyone getting smashed the night before the wedding. No worries, it was perfect, no one even asked for more.

That is double mine we have about no more than 30 attending, that includes spouses and children. But we are not having any OOT guests attend esp. Since they are originate from where we are having the wedding therefore they visit with their family while here. Plus we are Doing a luncheon

Our rehearsal is about 35. It would have been about 50 but we made other arrangements for guests that are from out of town but don't need to attend the rehearsal. Our minimum for the RD venue is $1500.

Once you have your wedding party, readers, ushers, significant others, grandparents, parents, that list just adds up!

We stuck to bridal party only and their families, our photographer (he's a close family friend), our officiant (FH's uncle) and were at 45! So, I feel you there. Luckily FH's parents offered to pay and they are ok with the large number.

FH's parents are paying for the rehearsal dinner so they can do whatever they want. They think that anyone who "reasonably has to get on an airplane" gets an invite to the rehearsal dinner. This means we are inviting a total of about 120 people to the rehearsal dinner. We have about 145 invited to the wedding. But we expect only about 100 to show up to the wedding and hopefully down to 80 for the rehearsal dinner, but we'll see once those RSVPs start rolling in.

12 in wedding party including Officant. So with out of town guest I might hit 25 but we will have to wait and see. I am having my rehearsal dinner at a local Chinese buffet restaurant. I have already stopped in and asked what their policy was on private parties. I got the banquet room and private wait staff for 8 bucks a person including drink. I was like sign me up LOL. They will cook your own meat and veggies in front of you and offer traditional Chinese foods. They offer American food also so it works for us.

Sorry just seeing this. I hate that it doesn't tag people! Our rehearsal is at the same place our wedding and reception is. It's like a BBQ on the rooftop (of a brewery) and the brewery supplies all the food and yep, it includes 2 hours of bar time.

Ours is about 75. But that's only because we're inviting all of our OOT guests.

We started out with abiut 35 people between us, bridal party, parents, and grandparents. When we found out most of my dad's brothers were planning to make the wedding we decided to extend the RD invitation to out of town family and now we are expecting about 60 or 62. I figure its no big deal and I'm really looking forward to the extra opportunity to get some more family time. All of our family is OOT so we only see each other at weddings and family reunions.

We are trying to figure this out now. If we just do bridal party/dates and immediate family it will be about 30 which is doable but we don't get to see the family much especially since so many of them live OOT so we really want all OOT guests to attend which brings it to like 100 people Smiley sad.

Ah I'm not the only one!! Our rehearsal dinner is wedding party and s/o, parents, grandparents and OOT guests. So my list is about 75 people, we have a large bridal party (11 on each side plus ushers). I'm supposed to get a price quote soon but I'm definitely scared to see it.

Ours is about the same number- some where around 60. but we are also getting married out of town so we made sure to invite all our aunts/uncles/cousins that will be coming in town the night before. i've been stressing for months!

I thought that ONLY the wedding party were suppose to be at the rehearsal, not family. My mom is 1 of 10, my dad is 1 of 5, there is no way I would invite my family that was NOT in the wedding!

However, I'm seriously considering inviting my two aunts that are coming all the way from all the way from TX (to WV). My wedding party consists of 2 mohs, 2 jr brides maids, a ring bearer, a flower girl, and our 2 moms that are walking us down the aisle. (Lesbian wedding) to not confuse everyone with the 2 moh's and mother of the brides.

Also, in my family someone usually offers to pick up the tab.

We have 24. Both sets of parents and bridal party with MARRIED spouses only and flower girl and ring bearer and their moms (neither are married). How many are going to the wedding? You may want to cut down to just bridal party and parents if it all possible.

Wow! That is big. At this point, I don't think we are having one. If we do, we'll take our parents out to dinner. Bridal party is only 1 on each side

Wow that's crazy! Ours will be around 20 including us so we decided to go cheap and go to Brixx Pizza by our venue.

    Good question! Hurm....

6 people in bridal party. 2 of them in relationships. His family 6. My family 2.

    16. I would say that number could go up to 20.... but I am thinking of combining rehearsal dinner and welcome picnic... but still unsure about that. If i do that, then it could totally end up being 60 or more.
