Let's talk organization! Wedding planning is no joke, and probably all of us have other things like jobs and school and responsibilities they take up a good chunk of our time. What methods are you using to stay on top of the planning? I have a wedding notebook that I use to keep all of my lists and brainstorming in one place, and I use the checklist feature here. However, I am a visual person and I saw someone else on here post a picture of a project poster board she had made and absolutely loved that idea. (Thank you, whomever you were!!) I started mine last night and I already love having that visual reminder!

That's awesome! I've never been very good at using excel.

One of my bridesmaids gave me her wedding Excel spreadsheet she used when she got married and I've just tailored it to mine. So much easier than starting from scratch. My MOH bought me a fun wedding planner that I do use as well, mostly to tape inspiration pictures of flowers, hair, etc.

The poster board is so cute!

I'm a high strung person with bad anxiety so visual things like that that remind me of all I have to do over the next year would bring out the worst stress possible in me lol! I was originally using the knot, but wedding wire seems so much more organized to me and I love the forums! So I'm using both for now. My sister also gave me a physical wedding planner book as a gift and I love it so much. Between he three mediums, I think I'm covering everything I have to do. I also have a bride's notebook where I am jotting down pricing for vendors I haven't booked with and idea for decor.

Excel and a wedding binder! I’m a major List person and I freaking LOVE excel!
I have tabs guests (it has last name, first name of Head if household, then address, whether they RSVPd, how many in the house (that are coming will be edited when RSVPs happen), and table number.
Next tab is the budget: itemized list, then guesstimate, actual cost, notes, and remainder. Third tab is my monthly to do list
my parents are also giving us a good chunk of money so our fourth tab is what they’ve given, what we put it towards, and how much they have left to give

the binder keeps weekly and daily to dos, payment plans, and receipts in it

That's awesome! I sure that saved you so much time, being to just adapt rather than create from scratch!

This is a 100% fabulous idea! What all is on your wedding board, if you don't mind my asking? I'm in the midst of making my own and I could use a bit of help, haha!

I feel your pain. Finally broke down and bought a really good planner that has lots of writing space.... BUT I'm doing several DIY projects and I lovvvve the above for keeping them tracked. Will be getting a poster board tomorrow!
