Let's talk organization! Wedding planning is no joke, and probably all of us have other things like jobs and school and responsibilities they take up a good chunk of our time. What methods are you using to stay on top of the planning? I have a wedding notebook that I use to keep all of my lists and brainstorming in one place, and I use the checklist feature here. However, I am a visual person and I saw someone else on here post a picture of a project poster board she had made and absolutely loved that idea. (Thank you, whomever you were!!) I started mine last night and I already love having that visual reminder!

Yeah, my notebook is basically a central place for brainstorming, and then I make my to-do list and board from those notes.

We have a wedding notebook (that we almost lost a couple of weeks ago, oops!) and a ton of Google Docs/Sheets.

I have a wedding binder and notebook. The binder has my WW timeline and then each section is broken down and labeled by vendors. The notebook is all the stuff I'm working on. Questions that pop up, and lists. It has worked beautifully for me. Plus just recently got my FH involved so we jolt down three tasks or things to do a week on a calendar for him to stay on track.

Oh! I love the idea of a mini-to-do list for the FH! That would help my finance so much!

It was a tense like, 10 minutes when we realized it was gone. We'd brought it with us to the bakery to discuss cakes and then since it was nice out walked around town for awhile and sat down to eat the snacks we got from the bakery (how can you not go to bakery and also get something?) then just left it on the bench when we got up. Realized it was missing when we got home. FH ran back to town and fortunately it was still there on the bench. I wasn't even worried about someone stealing like, personal info but there's just so much planning stuff in there it would have been such a set back to have to try to remember everything.

I have an excel doc! Have 2 sections for guests (guests that I'm inviting and the guests FH is inviting) that outline their name, how many people, address, etc. Then we have a section for food so we can keep track of what we are going to ROUGHLY pay if everyone RSVP'd yes. Then we have a section for the bar so that we can do some calculations to see how much alcohol we'll need / what a rough cost will be. Last, but not least, we have a section for our budget vs what we're actually spending/anticipating on spending. I've tracked everything down to the last penny which may be obsessive but oh well haha.

This is my checklist! I have a picture on my phone to help keep track, but it's also on a giant whiteboard I keep in eyesight. I also have an excel spreadsheet for rsvps, and a "wedding corner" in my apartment to throw all things wedding. I have my flower girl baskets, center pieces, photobooth props, etc. all thrown over there.

I have an online planner, a paper planner, & lots of post-it's lol. Luckily at my job I do a lot of coordination so I can usually remember things in my head. Def still have to write everything down on my online planner though. There's soo much to remember lol.

I made a binder where I keep all the information for our wedding. I divided everything into sections using divider tabs. For our guest list, I created an excel spreadsheet with our guests name, address and plus ones (if any).

That's awesome! I've never been good at spreadsheets, but it sounds like you are on top of it!! I'm also tracking every cent we spend, so I completely understand!!

I totally understand that!! I only have the big stuff on mine right now, I haven't had a chance to sit down and really think through all the little details, so I'm sure my to-do list will double at some point!

Yes! I have one closet that has become the wedding closet where I've been putting anything and everything wedding related. I have two cats that are constantly getting into stuff, so I have to keep everything behind a closed door if I don't want it ruined!

Definitely! I'm a pretty task-oriented person ordinarily, but I definitely could not keep track of stuff if I didn't write it down. Especially when I get random thoughts popping into my head like in the middle of work. I know I won't remember when I get home if I don't write it on a sticky-note and shove it into my purse for later!

EXCEL is my go to. Everything is in one place from Invitation list, picture board, State Marriage License information, to Honeymoon itinerary. It has been a life saver
