How are you doing mismatched bridesmaid dresses?

My bridesmaids live all over so I'm thinking of having them order from azazie.com. My color palette is jewel toned (burgundy, midnight blue, emerald green, plum, berry, and gold accent). My wedding gown is blush colored and no lace. What colors should they wear? Not a fan of them all looking exactly...

I just gave them a color and length, they got their dresses from different stores so i'm sure they will be different shades of plum and they are all different styles, there's only three of them and we don't have guys so i think it will work

I also just picked a color from Bill Levkoff and told them anything but floor length. They also picked their own gold shoes. Some did flat sandals, some did stilettos.

In your opinions, is it better to stick with one length or have a mix of short and long? My girls and I are shopping this weekend and I had initially thought I would put them all in short, but now I'm playing with the idea of a mixture of lengths.

I'm having them all wear the same color and floor length. Their only job is to have a dress different than who they are standing next to. Smiley smile

I picked out the color plum at David's bridal and told them to pick a short lace dress they like. Well it ended up with 3 ordering the one shoulder and 3 ordering the halter.

Sarah- it's just preference. I'm not personally a fan of long and short together. It looks "off" to me. But most people might not be a fan of my sequin gold dresses either! just preference!

I wanted my girls in white lace. My dress is long, lace, & ivory. I gave them all some inspiration shots and told them that they should be lace, above the knee, white, and either a shift or fit-and-flare silhouette. They've all come up with some lovely dresses that fit them beautifully and didn't break the bank.

AllyGettingHitched -- I won't be any help in directing you to places to buy dresses, but I did want to say that I adore your color scheme. Jewel tones are drop dead gorgeous. I love a bridal party in garnet, sapphire, emerald, amethyst, and ruby -- and what could be better than gold accents? I'd love to do the flowers for your wedding (I'm thinking cream with gold accents for your honor attendants). Hint -- keep all the dresses at the same length (I prefer gowns, but that's a personal choice).

A blush wedding gown? Excellent choice. This will be stunning.

I told my girls to get a black floor length dress that was a bit flowy with not an excessive amount of cleavage hanging out. i had them send me pics of their choices before the purchased the dresses and it worked out perfect. Each dress is different, accents their personalities and im hoping theyll all look good together haha although really no one will notice

I originally told my girls navy, short, and chiffon. Two of my girls werent feeling comfortable in any of the short dresses they tried on. We then found these knit dresses that matched at the top but were diff lengths. Several people told me I was crazy for mixing short and long but I think it worked great. Everyone was happy.

    Very pretty colors!

I let my girls pick out their own styles and kept it between 4 colors, the same fabric, and the same length.
