How are you all feeling with Covid-19

Future MIL has end-stage cancer so we are trying to put together an intimate spontaneous wedding in the state where she lives. We cannot find an officiant who will perform our ceremony without requiring us to wear masks. I refuse to wear a mask during our vows and I do’s. I literally don’t even know what to do at this point. I get emotional at times as well.

Allissa I would find a close friend or relative to get ordained online and perform your ceremony. We are having our good friend marry us because I do not feel comfortable having some stranger do it and I believe it is a waste of money

Hi Christina! how have you been? I have not posted anything for some time. I literally got discouraged and just did not desire to even discuss anything. But I must say I missed connecting with other brides feeling the way I do/did. With these new vaccinations I am praying for the best and i am so waiting to get mine. I am in the healthcare-not directly, however I interact with patients every day.

I am so in the same mind set as you. My bachelorette was to have taken place in New Orleans-Essence Festival 2020, then a ladies trip... I as we all had great feelings for 2020!

But as of this week I finally re-ordered our wedding invitation and finally going back into discussions with each of the vendors and hotels. I am hyping myself up to start the journey again and not knowing what will happen. No clarity as to what kind of guest count we are able to have or even want to have. Our original count was about 170, I am looking at a guest count now of about 100 to be on the safe side. Our venue holds 200 comfortable they say but the social distancing.... Lets try to be positive for 2021! I wish all you couples a FANTASTIC planning journey... Prayers up

How's your planning going? We are in the same boat as far as having high-risk family members as well. I just completed my last semester for my bachelors degree as well. So at this point you should be finished as well so a HUGE DOUBLE CONGRATULATIONS to you!!!

Very sad situation.. But I must say the Bride is VEY SELFISH!!! she is expecting another human being to risk their life for a wedding.... If any of my bridal party ( my daughter & future kids) stated they were not comfortable attending I would respect that and adjust how I needed to. It is very unfortunate that we have couples that for some reason not comprehending the gravity of this Pandemic. I pray these new vaccines a vast majority of the population takes it. Based on the science not, this pandemic will be lingering like the flu. And this new strain.... I am praying

for a better 2021.
