House/apartment reception financial advise? What did you do?

I thought about this last night; I'll do a courthouse wedding than many little house/apartment parties for various friends for the reception. Has anyone else done this? IF SO

What did you do to decorate?

Did you hire a planner?

Did you have a videographer?

Was the house/apartment party better the pros and cons to that?

I thought I rather do a small intimate wedding because the truth is financial, a wedding is a downpayment on a house, which we live in an apartment and would like to save for a house.

My friend did this. They had a caterer, outdoor tent and tables, basic decorations. I think the outside element helped them a lot, it was at their moms lawn. If you’re going for something very casual and small, this can be done.

I agree with Amanda- see if you can use a family member’s house so you have that outside element.
