Hotel upgrade on Wedding night ?

Yes! I haven't received one since I haven't booked yet but I've emailed a few hotels and they would let me know that if a certain number of rooms are booked, you would get discounted for some kind of suite. It just depends on which hotels. I'm not sure if all of them do it. Definitely contact a few local ones you plan on using and ask just in case they don't automatically mention it.

We did! We had our hotel block with Courtyard by Marriott, and we stayed the night before and night of our wedding. They gave us a suite for both nights at the same price of the regular block room rate.

Hampton Inn & Suites is giving up a complimentary upgrade to a suite for reserving a hotel block. Honestly for the 20 rooms we already have booked and another month to go before the block closes, I think we should get the wedding night for free!

Well considering we have a wedding block of 20 rooms our room was free for our wedding night and it’s in our contract

Most hotels will do this if you fulfill a block of a certain number of rooms or have your reception there. We had our reception at the Fairmont in Sonoma and received a complimentary stay in their nicest room ($1,000 per night) for Friday and Saturday.

We did! But we had our $10K+ wedding at the resort.

We have a room block at an adjacent hotel. They are giving us the bridal suite the night of our wedding complimentary and I'll be paying the block rate for the suite the night before. We had to have a certain number of rooms booked in order to receive the complimentary suite though, but it was low enough that we knew we would qualify.

Our hotel will be giving us a free suite if we book 30 rooms or a suite at regular room price if we book 15 rooms.

We had like 25 rooms blocked at the hotel and we spent a lot of money there since we had our wedding on property so they provided our room for the wedding night and also upgraded us for the rest of our stay. It was a Hyatt property

We got a free hotel room with Marriott since our hotel block filled, but we upgraded to a suite so we paid the difference.

Were looking into a Hampton, and they said with 15 paid rooms in the block we would get the King Deluxe suite for free on the wedding night. I also asked if we got 30 rooms if we could have the night before (which I will book anyway) and they agreed to that.

Thanks everyone ! Sounds like I only get an upgrade if we have a room block there. Bummer! We made a room block somewhere that may not have suites. But good to know.

We had our wedding at a Hyatt Regency and they offered us a complementary cottage suite (for two nights) as part of the package.
