Hotel reception decor

Hi everyone! For those of you who are having or had a hotel reception, what kind of decor did you use? Did you do the whole candle theme or something else? I really want to do a more vintage type or rustic but I realize it’s totally opposite of that in the room. Would that be weird?

Here are some photos from our receptions! I didnt really take the space into consideration much when I decided on decor. I think it all came together though!

We had our reception at the Fairmont and my decor would have been the same no matter the venue. However, one of the appeals of the room we chose was that it had that rustic, elegant look I wanted.

I’m having my ceremony and reception in a hotel ballroom and doing a dark, gothic glam 30’s feel...after a year of planning, organizing and dealing with vendors it’s all going to come together on Saturday!

Hi! So we wanted to work with the color scheme that was already in our hotel ballroom. It’s very classic looking with shades of gold and cream with navy blue. So we went with exactly those colors for decor! I would definitely work WITH what already in the venue. Here’s some photos from our venue (not our wedding but it’s exactly what we’ll be doing!)

I feel that you can do vintage (more than rustic) in a hotel... especially if the ballroom/hotel isn’t a very modern one.
