Hi everyone! I just wanted to see if anyone else has had a terrible experience at David's Bridal... My associate was EXTREMELY rude and didnt help me at all! Hi everyone! I just wanted to see if anyone else has had a terrible experience at David's Bridal... My associate was EXTREMELY rude and didnt help me at all! I had an appointment, which started 30 mins late, and she was rushing me to finish early! She even told me at one point that she "almost quits every bridal season." Wtf?! All the dresses I pulled were dresses I found and pulled myself. She never once offered to help me un-bag or re-bag the dresses after trying them on, never offered to find another dress for me... Just ridiculous! I had no idea what style of dress I wanted, and Im not up-to-date on all of the dress lingo and terms... BUT luckily my MOH pulled a beautiful dress that I ended up buying. If I hadn't loved the dress SO MUCH, I would have left and never came back.... TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

I used to work at davids .. not as a stylist but still. We were ALWAYS UNDERSTAFFED. I worked at the check in desk and we would always try to get apts to start on time, but no matter how many times we would call stylists to the front for an apt, they always took forever to come because of chitchatting and socializing.

If anyone decides to do davids, I HIGHLY recommend making an apt for a week day. The weekends are a zoo.

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience Smiley sad My consultant was great! Even while she helped another bride the same time as me. I did do a lot of research before making an appointment though~ reading thru the reviews of all of DB stores in the area and choosing the one that had the best reviews Smiley tongue

I went in asking for a ball gown preferably a line as it was the best fit elsewhere. I just couldn't immediately say yes to a 1300 dress. She only pulled mermaid and after I refused on the fifth try came back with two ball gowns saying it was all they had.. and they were 1500 and 1800. Horrible experience. The store seemed dirty, everyone had an attitude and they didn't actually listen to what I wanted.

I'm sorry you had such a terrible experience. There are two David's Bridal shops near me. I researched them both before making my appointment. One had HORRIBLE reviews while the other (the one I went to) had great ones. I ended up having a great experience, the women that helped me was so nice and helpful! I am glad you at least found your dress!

I had an awesome experience at DB! I didn't even buy my dress there but I gave them ideas of what I like and they pulled a dozen dresses for me! Go back, ask for a manager to help you, and go on a weeknight when they aren't busy

That is horrible and I'm sorry you had that experience. I have an appointment coming up this Saturday at DB and I'm not super excited about it. I received a voucher at a wedding show I attended last weekend and they set up an appointment for you on the spot. But I decided to go just for the chance to try on some dresses and at least see some styles that I like. I plan on going to a smaller shop or boutique to do my serious dress shopping. Glad you were able to find your dress after that horrible experience. Can't wait to see a picture

Wow I thought I had an horrible time. My daughter has not gotten her dress the lady acted as if she was getting impatient. She was saying she liked every dress she had on I guess to make us hurry up and buy something. Also they do not put on accessories unless you ask. They have become horrible. I hope I never have to try on dresses there again.

Also my maid of honor had to sit outside because she was told she could not browse through dresses until her appointment time.

I had an awful experience too. I figured out what I was going to buy and ordered it on their website so they sales lady didn't get commission because she didn't earn it.

My sales lady was rude, unhelpful and actually left us alone for over an hour. She got mad at us when we tried to pull a dress ourselves but she wasn't pulling anything for us.

The worst part was I made an appointment and when I was checking in she walked up and right in front of me said she had a walk in she'd rather take because she thinks they are going to spend more. The manager had to get me started because she didn't want to. It was a Tuesday morning and the store was empty so she could have taken the walk in and me at the same time easily.

I had a pretty good experience. My consultant had to help me change my corset/bra three times because I ate too much and couldn't bare having my stomach squeezed. I ended up doing away with it altogether and she didn't make it awkward. She noticed me getting frustrated with my family and asked me every time we went back into the fitting room if I was doing okay. She also made sure to not bring any dresses over my budget.

The only complaint I have is they give too many appointments at once. It was WAY too crowded.

Wow, these horror stories make me sad. I had a great experience at davids bridal. My consultant was amazing and she listened to me and found a dress for me in my price range similar to the one I showed her out of my price range. She put the right veil on me and a necklace that looked amazing with my dress. She was just so wonderful that a month later I went in with my bridesmaids and within a half hour they had the perfect dress in the perfect color. I go back in 2 weeks for my first alterations appointment and my mom made an appointment for the same day to fine her dress. My mom was super impressed with the consultant and the customer service that we got.

Wow, sorry you had a bad experience, glad you found a dress after all that! To me Davids Bridal seems to be the Walmart for wedding dresses. Im glad I didn't go there.

My experience wasn't bad, but just a little annoying. Before going to DB, I found two A line dresses I was interested in on the DB website. At the start of the appointment, I show my saleslady the two dresses. She looked at the dresses and told me they didn't even carry the dresses, which I thought was weird. But, one was had been a new arrival so maybe they didn't have it in store yet. I didn't ask her because she was too high strong for me. So she pulled a couple A line dresses that were similar and I tried them on. She opened the dressing room door wide a few times while I was changing and naked down to my underwear. I tried them on and liked one of them.

She then goes and pulls another similar dress, and asks me if I'd like to try it on. Looking at it through the bag, I could tell it was actually the dress that I had picked out on the website and showed her. And it was. Why she looked at the photo and website listing and straight up told me they didn't carry it was beyond me. I ended up choosing that dress.

My dress arrived in store a week early. My bridal party and I went to DB to pick BM dresses and to try my dress on. We picked a dress and they all ordered theirs right then. My mom, who bought my dress, signed everything saying she received it. A couple weeks later, I get a message on my voicemail from them saying my dress is in and I need to pick it up. They kept calling me, but because of work, I couldn't answer or call back. My mom finally handled it. They apparently forgot to mark it off in the system. Not a big deal, just annoying. I have purchased 4 bridesmaid dresses there. A lot of times, they're pretty clueless.

It depends on the location, the store I went to gave me amazing service and helped me pick a dress better suited for my body and didn't try to get me to spend an excessive amount of money.

I had a terrible experience shopping for my dress there and it was completely due to my consultant and her awful/rude attitude. My friend basically freaked out and went to find the manager to tell her what was going on and the consultant got sent home. The manager was amazing and did everything she could to try to fix it but at that point I was done and over it. She asked us to please give them a second chance and she would work with me herself etc. But honestly it left such a bad taste in my mouth that there was no way I wanted my dress from there, I did however go back with my bridesmaids to get their dresses and we had our appointment with the same manager. She was amazing and went above and beyond for us, even calling to find dresses in a discontinued color because 2 of my girls fell in love with the dress and the color was discontinued that morning and all of my girl's left extremely happy and excited to wear their dresses. I think it is like everywhere else and just depends on the consultant.

My girls wanted to get their dresses from DB. Luckily, we had a great associate! They all found a dress they really liked. I didn't get my dress from there.

I have had great and not so great experiences at DB. First time wasn't that great, they told me to pick out any dresses I liked and my consultant pulled them for me. However, she was new and had no idea what she was doing so she couldn't help me by finding similar styles but she was very nice and didn't rush me at all. The next time I went, I brought friends because I was between a dress there and a dress at a different salon, we told the consultant and she was amazing, she pulled the dress and told me friends that they could go and pull out any dresses they wanted me to try on for fun so they "didn't come all the way there to see me in 1 dress".

Then when I was looking at BM dresses, I went with MOH since I had no idea the style, color, material I wanted and our consultant pulled almost every dress they had so I knew what they looked like and MOH could tell me which she liked the best. MOH made a comment how she was sad she missed me trying on dresses and our consultant looked up my past visits and pulled 2 dresses I had tried on just so MOH could see me try on dresses and let us stay 30 minutes past the store closing. Next time I went with BM to try on the dresses MOH and I had narrowed it down to, we had to share our consultant with another group and she ignored us the whole time. We ended up asking other people who were just standing around to help us. It was terrible, but they found the dress the were most comfortable in. Next time I just took 1 BM on a whim because we were hanging out and she suggested it - we didn't have any problem getting seen and she was able to try on dresses. Last time I went with other BM and we also had no problem, our consultant was amazing and pulled multiple styles of the same dress and different sizes so my girls could see what they were most comfortable in. They even gave us a more private area so FSIL could nurse her baby and no be right in front of everyone who walked in. Every time I went was between 6-7 during a weeknight (last 2 were Fridays) and the store was empty so this may have been why I had more good experiences than bad.

When I went shopping for my dress I had a horrible experience with them. I got a girl who literally just started working that day; she had no idea what she was doing but, on top of it was very pushy with what I should and should not do. She was missing for half of my appointment. When we went shopping for the BM's dresses we went to a different location and had an excellent experience.

Honestly this is part of the reason I refused to even go to David's unless it was an absolute last resort. I found a dreamy dress for about the same amount I would've spend at DB, got phenomenal service, AND I don't have a dress that everyone else and their mother has, or has seen on another bride somewhere.

I am so sorry you had a negative experience, shopping for an expensive gown for such a big day should never feel that way. I'm glad you found your dress!

ETA found my dress at a local boutique, just to clarify.
