Honoring veterans at my wedding on veterans day

I would put a special thank you note in the program.

I love the idea! I may be biest my husband is a veteran.

Yeah, I'd keep it more subtle. A note in the programs, or maybe a candle at a side table, but that's it.

DF is a Marine vet. He isn't big on having much said about it. He's proud of his service, and has been on multiple tours during wartime, but while he's never said it, he acts very uncomfortable when people thank him for his service or approach him like that.

Possible unpopular opinion - don't do anything.

Military wife here - another vote for very subtle like mna suggested, or not at all. Definitely nothing like a "stand and be honored" moment.

Agree on noting the day, but wouldn’t put pressure on anyone to stand or have everyone thanking them. I’m getting married on Veterans Day & I’m a VA Psychologist. IMO- most would prefer the day be recognized but not them personally.
