Honoring Parents' Anniversary at Reception

FH and I chose our wedding date because it is exactly one week before my parents' anniversary and 2 weeks before his parents' anniversary.

We loved the coincidence of our parents' anniversaries being a week apart and want to do something to honor the fact that our parents are about to celebrate 33 (for mine) and 28 (for FH's) years of (happy) marriage.

We want to find a way to surprise and honor them and their upcoming anniversaries at our reception (something more than just mentioning them in a speech). Any suggestions? Are you honoring any special marriages at your reception?

    I wish i had special marriages to honor...

    you could present them with some kind of gifts at the wedding and then have them start off the anniversary dance and have others join after a bit? that's all i got

    The dance is such cute idea! I know my parents would be SO into that, but FHs parents aren't really the dancing type. They would do it if we wanted them to. But, I'd kind of like it to be a surprise thing and I'd hate to put them on the spot with a dance they weren't expecting! I'll keep this one in my pocket! :-)

    Wow. Thats amazing. So many years together for your parents and for ur FH. Congratulations.

    Maybe if you guys also get them a gift ( vacation trip or a nice dinner etc.)

    That's something I hadn't thought of. I know my parent's song. I'd have to discretely find out FH's - b/c I'm sure he has no idea!
