Honorary ring bearer...ideas?

Nikknack, on March 14, 2013 at 10:51 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

So, my MOH (FSIL) is having her son a month before our wedding. We couldn't be more excited and we are really excited he will be here. We would really like him to be the ring bearer, but obviously he is too small to do anything. We are tryingto think of cute ways to involve him or make him the ring bearer without him having to do anything. Any ideas?

I've seen it where some people wheel a baby down in a wagon. Like if you have a flower girl or something.

The flower girl (if she is old enough) can wheel him in, and probably have the rings hanged with a ribbon on the canopy of his stroller, well heck dress the whole stroller

It's sweet that you want to include the little one. You could, of course, do the decorated stroller idea. However, a four week old infant is still very delicate, so whoever is doing the pushing, make sure it's an adult. Also, be aware of the fact that infants are on their own timetable. If it's time to nurse, he'll cry..or maybe, he'll just cry because that's what infants do. So, just make sure that you can go on with the ceremony in the event that he isn't able to participate.

Yeah, it would have to be an adult carry him in. And I dont mind if he cries or even if my MOH needs to excuse herself to take care of him. I don't think I would want anyone but his mom or dad carrying him/wheeling him in. Even if he doesnt "walk down the aisle" i just wanted to include him somehow. Hmm, either way, we are just excited to have him there Smiley laugh Maybe that is just what it will have to be <3 Thanks for the ideas everyone Smiley laugh
