    Hey there, Angel Smiley smile

Oh a cruise in the Bahamas will be amazing!

Would you consider booking this via a travel agent? They are often quite familiar with the different cruise lines and would work with you to get something within your budget.

On the vendor directory, along with filtering by price, you can filter by travel type ‘cruises’ to find agents who work booking those - Travel Agents.

First decide when you would like to go and for how long. I would suggest for a first ever cruise doing something short just Incase one of you is prone to sea sickness. And decide what you are looking for from a cruise.
Then check out each cruise lines websites and look for reviews to see which has the vibe you’re looking for.
Carnival tends to be cheaper, but In my opinion that reflects in their service. Not as good service, but still fine, not as many amenities/activities in board. Tends to have a party scene especially during times like spring break. Royal Caribbean is a little more expensive, but in my opinion better quality/service. The newer ships have stuff like a flow rider and golf courses, some have ice skating or bumper cars. Norwegian is decently priced. I have no experience with them yet, we cruise with them later this month. They (almost) always offer free upgrades depending on which cabin you book. Disney is amazing and has the top notch entertainment that is expected from Disney. It is very family oriented with lots of kids. But, they have adult only areas on board and on their private island, Cast Away Cay. It is expensive, but worth it in terms of service and entertainment. Also search their itinerary and see which cruise line offers a cruise when you want to go, where you want to leave from, and for a price that fits your budget. We went with Norwegian this time because it’s the only cruise line that fit our time frame, budget, and departure port. If you are more flexible you’ll have more options. Good luck and have fun! Cruising is great!

We went on a Bahamas cruise for our honeymoon! It was AMAZING! We went with Royal Caribbean and they were amazing, the ship was beautiful and had so many fun things to do and the food was wonderful! I definitely recommend them. I have heard Carnival isn't as great, and our Royal Caribbean cruise wasn't much more price wise. We booked through cruisesonly.com they have really good sales all the time. Ours was 5 days and 4 nights for $1,145 and that was in a "spacious balcony room", it would've been even cheaper if we had done a room without a balcony or an interior room. Good luck on your search! Also, bring Dramamine with you just in case one of you gets seasick it really helps.

That's when I was trying to book it it was asking me so many questions I'm like I'm so confused I don't even know where to start so does that mean we have to go to Florida and then the cruise ship will pick us up and I want to make it where I'm not on the cruise the whole time

Also, cruisesonly.com allows you to pay only like 100 to 200 up front, then you just make payments as you can up until a couple months before the cruise. That was really helpful for us because we could break up the payments rather than pay it all at once.

Yes, so how it works is the ship begins in Florida at the port. You go to Florida (or whereever you are leaving from) and board the ship. Then the ship sails to the Bahamas. For our cruise, the first day we got on the ship in FL, the second day we sailed all day and enjoyed the ship, the third day we arrived in Nassau, Bahamas and we were there from 8AM to 8PM. In Nassau, we got off and explored the city, did some shopping and went snorkeling. The fourth day we arrived at Coco Cay (Royal Caribbeans private island) which has beaches, pools, bars, a GIANT waterpark, etc. and spent the day there. The last day we arrived back in FL and got off the ship in the morning. Let me know if you have more questions I am happy to help!

You can book through the cruise lines directly or use a travel agent.

I haven’t been to the Bahamas but I’ve been on 5 cruises...4 carnival and 1 Royal Caribbean. We love Carnival with our kids but Royal Caribbean might be better for a honeymoon, in my opinion.
Just be aware, alcohol isn’t included in the cruise price. You can buy drink packages though that make it more manageable.

Norwegian is my favorite! Royal Caribbean is also good. If you are looking for a little higher end, Celebrity is absolutely AMAZING!

Mariner of the Seas is the one we went on, but you could pick all ships to see what's available!
