Honeymoon travel plans

My SIL got married there, at a resort in BangTao Bay which is on Phuket. I would say that if you want a relaxed honeymoon, avoid Patong whatever you do - that place is crazy. Fun for a day trip maybe but don't stay there!

How long are you planning on going for?

We are going too! And we are actually staying in Patong, Phuket by my husband’s request. We snagged a 5 star resort. So we think it’s the best of both worlds. We don’t want to be bored just lounging on the beach or hotel pool the whole time so the nightlife (Bangla Road) was something the husband requested 🤷🏻‍♀️ He just wants to drink beer and bar hop lol. I made sure I told him it was touristy and probably more crowded he said that’s fine for part of the trip. I think if you explore other things to do it’s still a fine location. My husband doesn’t like looking touristy but if everyone is a tourist there we kinda fit right in ya know rather than sticking out in a more secluded village type area. I tried real hard to book at the Kata beach area but hotels were just not cutting it for the price and/or amenities offered at our late booking window. Kata is supposedly one of the nicest beaches. Depending on when you’re going you could look there!

We are going to do a little over two weeks this summer, bouncing around 4 different cities. We will be visiting and feeding elephants for a day at a preserve outside of Chiang Mai. I have heard it’s a magical experience. They do overnight experiences, but I think we’ll just do the daytime one. There are some floating markets that are supposed to be fun which I believe are also near Chiang Mai. We also plan on doing a night time tuk tuk food tour in Bangkok.
