Honeymoon right after wedding or waiting a while?

My fiance job does not offer vacation hours or paid time off, so if we take a honeymoon right after the wedding it would be one day at the most two days. We were thinking of either waiting to do it later on in the year or just going somewhere close like Key West for a weekend. When do you plan on...

We are doing a two or three day little get away right after the wedding; we plan to go somewhere remote and just be. Then FH is planning a honeymoon for us about 4 months after our wedding. It's kinda exciting because it is in two parts and is supposed to be a surprise for me. I do know that warm climate and a beach is involved in one part and that I will need a passport, other than that I am to know nothing else.

We are getting married Sunday 7/3... Monday is a holiday (July 4) and we will be leaving 7/5 to the Smokey Mountains until the following Saturday 7/9. FH just started a job and doesn't have Vacation time available so he won't get paid (the 4 days).

We may go to Vegas for a few nights not too long after the wedding but at this point it might have to wait until the next year. Vacation starts fresh every January 1 and I'll have about 2 days worth left by the time we're wed, so I can take off the Monday after at least - and take a nap of course!

We're not 100% sure what we want to do for the actual honeymoon though so it will be a few months later most likely.

Our wedding is on Friday, and we leave for our honeymoon on Monday. So right away for all intents and purposes.

Our honeymoon is buying a house! We will probably go on a vacation next year.

We're going to go to Overseas next summer, over a year after the wedding. Because of finances and time-off with the FH's job.

We are spending the night at our home rental. Then we are going over to a hotel to spend 2-days at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Universal Studios. It is a mini-honeymoon because we want to go on a nice honeymoon in a year for our anniversary.

We are leaving for our honeymoon the Monday after our Saturday wedding. We are having a destination wedding, so we will be headed straight from that destination to our honeymoon location.

We are going to wait 2-3 weeks after the wedding to just take a breather, work a little, and let the dust settle. But we don't want to wait TOO long, for all the "sparkle" of being a newly wed to wear off. Smiley winking

Obviously everyones schedules allow for different things!

What about having a 1-2 day mini-moon and then having a longer honeymoon later on?

We waited a month and it was great. It gave us something to be excited about after the wedding was over, it gave me time to change my name before we left. And it gave us time to save a little extra money.

@Deanna - check out St. Simons for a mini moon, or it's only about 2 hours drive to Charleston,SC if you'd like to get away a little more! Tybee is also great (that's where I got engaged) but might be more crowded with families. I've got some friends who work in tourism down in Savannah, let me know if you need any recs!
