Homemade Book Page Rose Bouquet

Homemade Book Page Rose Bouquet 1

I'm a total bookworm and wanted to incorporate that into my wedding. This is my handmade bouquet. We are also using the book page roses as part of the centerpieces. My family and I have made over 250 of these roses. My mom assembled the bouquets. I'm very happy with the results, but what an endeavor! I didn't realize how much work was going to go into making these.

    Here's a Tutorial

My mom used craft scissors with a decorative edge to cut out some of the roses to make them look a little different. She also edged some of them with silver sharpie. The purple mini roses are made from card stock.

They're not all that difficult to make, but they take a lot of prep work and they're time consuming.

They are gorgeous! Was there a specific (meaningful) book(s) that you used? Or were you just wanting to represent a love of books in general?

I didn't use any specific books. I just got a ton of paperbacks for free from someone my FMIL knows. They also provided most of the hardback books that are the bases of my centerpieces.

I do plan on using a Harry Potter book as part of my wedding photos.

    Tutorial

We made a bunch of the roses, then my mom put them into a bouquet base that had a foam ball on top. She used edged scissors on some and lined some of them with silver sharpie to make them look a bit different. She also made the small purple roses using cardstock.
