Hindu - jewish wedding weekend

Trisha, on February 12, 2019 at 12:02 AM Posted in Planning 0 3

hi! we are hoping to do two separate ceremonies and one reception for a hindu - jewish wedding, and i wanted to see if anyone could provide me with the various layouts they've seen the weekend having (either having thrown the wedding themselves or attended one) between the ceremonies and other events

and if both events were done on the same day, did you feel like it was too much?

*if you've had / attended any other interfaith wedding that had a hindu ceremony and another type, that would be really helpful as well to get an idea of the wedding weekend layout

I’m catholic and my fiancé is Buddhist. We plan on having the Buddhist ceremony on December 13th and then the catholic ceremony and the reception on the 14th. Buddhist monks can’t eat past 12pm, so the ceremony is starting at 8am! It would have been possible to do everything in one day but I couldn’t imagine having the Buddhist ceremony all morning, driving an hour, then having the catholic ceremony at 3, and then the reception 5-11. That’s a LONG DAY! So we’re splitting it up

Hi Trisha! Welcome to the WeddingWire community!

I haven't personally attended a multicultural wedding but have seen one done before! One of our past users, Kristina, had a Hindu ceremony and then another ceremony the next day! I'll attach her advice from the weekend for you!

Would love to know how the budget for the wedding was split between bride/her family and groom/his family?
