I wouldn't recommend Herbalife. If you're set on the idea of a shake for breakfast and lunch, I'd look for protein shake recipes - your local GNC or a similar store may have advice too. Honestly, when I'm busy at work and on the road I find a shake to be more of a PITA than grabbing a handful of almonds and some beef jerky.

You mentioned you're not at a desk and are very active at work. What do you do?

NO,NO,NO!! What's in herbalife is crap! There is very little good for you in that, and replacing a meal with a calorie deficit shake that is filled with crap is horrible!

Move more, eat clean, drink water (half your body weight in oz).

Buy snack packs of almonds, and beef jerky. Those can be little snacks between the day. You aren't going to lose weight by skipping meals. You might lose some but then eventually your body will start holding onto the food it's getting and turn it into fat because essentially if you are only eating one meal a day your body is probably in starvation mode, especially if you are working out 3x a week.

If I were you, I would drink a protein shake and munch on a handful of granola on the way to work. Sometimes you can find pre made yogurt based protein shakes in the dairy section at the grocery store. I'm assuming you get at least a short break for lunch? Beef jerky, almonds, and whole grain crackers are super easy and quick, and don't need to be refrigerated. You can even get almonds prepackaged in 100 calorie portions that are perfect to grab and go. Or pack a shell for a wrap and a can of tuna or chicken - 30 second sandwich.

If your job doesn't allow you a break to eat, you need to talk to your supervisor. Not eating for extended periods of time leads to low blood sugar and can make you dizzy or even pass out, which would be incredibly dangerous in a factory setting.

Green tea with lemon for a metabolism boost. Plus it means drinking more water which, of course, is great for you. Not only have I dropped a few pounds, but my skin is clearer from staying hydrated.

Also, skipping meals really isn't the way to go. When you don't eat your body is in "fasting" mode. Which means it is storing as many calories as it can because it doesn't know when it will get more. Eating breakfast wakes up your metabolism. I have found that snacking on veggies keeps your metabolism awake and is low in calories (sometimes I'm hungrier after I eat them).

You don't need to eat breakfast- that's a falsehood. I never eat breakfast. You have to find a schedule that works for you.

Skipping meals doesn't tank your metabolism.

You should be losing 2lbs a week at MOST. That's with calorie deficit and working out. Why don't you eat breakfast or lunch?

10 hrs at work, and a LOT going on outside of work right now. Bad time management I guess.

Sabrina, it sounds like what you really need is a portable breakfast you can eat in your car. I'd focus more on that. Do you like yogurt? Bagels? Beef jerky (and breath mints Smiley sexy)? Alton Brown has a great recipe for homemade protein bars:

But I know you probably don't have the time AND they are very yummy-- I had to stop making them cause my kids and I were eating them faster than cookies!

Any kind of fruit you like? Bananas? Apples? Could you make a huge batch of smoothies once a week and just pour yourself one a day?
