What area are you looking for a venue in? Have you considered non-traditional venues, such as a museum, aquarium, community center, or city park? Since COVID forced so many postponements over the past couple years, traditional wedding venues have filled up quicker than normal for 2022.

Look into parks department owned venues. Also take a look at eventective.com

You will probably need to be flexible on the date to find a venue that had the atmosphere, amenities, and price point you want.

Look for hotels and what they offer. Usually it’s all inclusive

Always keep checking in or ask if they have a waiting list. I got super lucky and was able to get the exact date I wanted in 2021 on a Saturday! You never know who might reschedule/ cancel

Do your research for any venue in your area that would have the space for both the ceremony and the reception, and start making calls for that date. Be sure to keep in mind how big a wedding you're looking to have, as that will play a key role. As someone else said, be willing to be flexible about your date if you're set on getting married in August 2022. Not only are places filling up fast due to Covid postponements, but August is right in the middle of wedding season. It might not be a bad idea to consider a Friday or Sunday, as those tend to be both more open and less expensive than Saturday. Good luck!
