Help with wedding date?

Tiffany, on June 26, 2020 at 5:54 PM Posted in Planning 0 15
Hi everyone! I just made this account because wedding planning is all over the place due to corona and we haven’t even nailed down a set date yet. So we got engaged last November. We wanted to have the wedding in Nov 2020 (our anniversary is Nov 11th) but with the second wave expected to it, we aren’t comfortable planning and having all the events leading up to that date. That leads us to Nov 2021 and with brides that were supposed to get married in 2020 rescheduling for Nov 2021, the Nov 11th date we wanted is unavailable at our venue but Nov 21st is open. We looked and saw that thanksgiving is the 25th that year and didn’t know if that would be too close to thanksgiving to have it then? Our other option is to have it Jan 8. My only issue with that is that we live in NYC and I’m worried there might be a storm 😭 not sure what to do. Nov 21 or Jan 8? Thank you ❤️❤️❤️

I would just go with November 21 and tell people earlier about it

I agree. I'd do Nov 21st. The possibility of there being a storm at all is a deal breaker. Plus at least with Nov 21st, it's still within the month of you anniversary.

As someone getting married on November 21st this year, I think it is a great date! Lol ❤️
As long as you send the save the dates out early (like February), I think it will be fine.

After living in NYC I do think November 21st is safest in terms of weather. I don’t think it’s too close to thanksgiving either so I think it’s a great date!

I definitely agree with the November 21st! Even with Thanksgiving, I don’t think that would be a deterrent.

Yeah that's what we were thinking, we would like it to be as close to our actual anniversary as possible. Thanks!

I agree. The last thing I want is for my guests to have problems getting to the venue due to snow. Thanks! 💜

I would just go with the Nov 21st. It’s still a few days away from thanksgiving. Its not a bad date at all!
