Help with red walls - shower venue

Leana, on December 6, 2019 at 5:24 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 13

Hi everyone! Love this hall for the shower, don't love the red walls. Although it looks cute for Christmas, it won't be christmas at the time, and won't really match with all my greenery and whites. Any ideas? The fireplace wall will be the focal wall as this is where the gift opening wall will be.

I personally love the red, but red was one of my wedding colors. Unfortunately, I don't think there is a way to cover the walls unless they allow you to hang things on the walls and most places don't allow people to hang things on the walls.

A lot of people would use drapery for that. But I agree I do think it's quite beautiful.

I don't think a shower has to have the same color scheme as the wedding and it will certainly be easier (and less expensive) to decorate using what's already in the room rather than trying to fight or hide it. Maybe leave out the green (so that it doesn't look like Christmas) and just stick with white and gold or silver accents.

Just decorate in a way that goes with the decor already there. It's a shower, it doesn't really matter if it's the same colors as your wedding.

I wouldn’t worry about it... and no one else will either. Guests are focused on you and having fun.

The place looks great. I think white decor and white centerpiece(roses) would look good.

Thanks everyone, you're right, im not going to bother with the walls. Do you think i should incorporate hints of red into our flower decor?

Through some red roses into your white flowers and greenery. It will pull it in without being too much.

Here is another idea. Is the shower in the spring or fall?

    I agree with Lady.

I think the venue is gorgeous as is. Just add in some decor that goes along with it - it definitely doesn't have to be the same as the wedding.

Thanks for the ideas! I was thinking of doing florals like the 2nd photo - the shower is March 29th, so feel like I can still get away with some darker reds.
