Help with honeymoon destination!!

Hi everyone! I'm just 22 y/o and I'll be getting married having 23 on October 19th. I'm really excited and full of emotions and I don't even know how to react!! We've been having discussions about where we want our honeymoon but we NEVER agree on tha same place 😂 He wants the same Dominican Republic trip everyone in our home town does every single year, every single day; I WANT SOMETHING DIFFERENT AND TO NOT SEE PEOPLE FROM MY HOME TOWN BUT MEET NEW (but he at least agrees with that hahah). We want the same outdoorsy/historic/adventurous/lovable honeymoon but we've got absolutely NO IDEA where to even think about. We're from the Caribbean, so we wanted something different from an island BUT would enjoy an island also if it has anything different from our home. We run on a simple budget, but wouldn't mind extending it so we can go somewhere completely new. Any suggestions?

I'm with you, I wouldn't want to see people I knew on my honeymoon!
You have to check out our Honeymoon section on WeddingWire, it's arranged by destination so you can choose a general region and then learn facts about each area to help you pick the perfect spot. Maybe a compromise from DR would be Puerto Rico or Cuba? If you don't want an island would you consider Cancun, Cozumel, or Belize?

I agree I want to see something I haven't before! I want morroco but Greece is a second. Greece has islands and history, I think flights are the most expensive part of going there.

Costa Rica, Venezuela, Brazil are all beautiful destinations. Or, for a completely different vibe, why not try Europe? But the South American destinations would most likely be less expensive than a trip to Europe.

Have you thought about going on a cruise?? This way depending on how long of a cruise you could go to multiple places on your honeymoon and meet all kinds of people! Crusies depending on the cruise line and when you go could be very reasonable price wise!

We are looking into a website called The Vacation Hunt. You take a little survey and they pick a surprise location for you and you don't know where you are going until the week of the trip. They send you the weather prediction for the week of your trip so you have an idea of what to pack but other than that it is a total surprise! If y'all are feeling adventurous I would suggest that. Also we are looking into going to the US Virgin Islands that way we don't have to worry with the hassle of passports.
