Help!! Where to put guestbook/gift box/photos

Tijahra, on February 5, 2020 at 3:18 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 3
Hi all,

I get married on May 22 and I am not sure where to put the guestbook, gift box, and pictures of my mine and my fiancé grandparents who’ve passed away.
Im conflicted because my ceremony is in front of the mansion then guests will need to walk into the mansion through the foyer and then the small ballroom to get outback to the tent where the reception is. So I’m trying to determine if it’s best to put these things in the foyer or small ballroom or in the tent with the reception?

You can do both. Foyer can be a separate book for the ceremony and tent could be a separate sign in for the reception. If you want just one though i would probably just do foyer

We had ours in the foyer where you enter for the ceremony. So people could put their cards/gifts down as soon as they walk in (didn’t have to carry it during the ceremony/cocktail hour) and could sign the guest book while waiting for the ceremony to begin. Then we had it moved into the reception room once the reception started (actually, my uncle noticed it was still in the foyer and moved it for us hahaha)

I agree with the PPS. Having it in the foyer makes more sense as people can drop off cards and sign the book before entering reception and joining everyone else. Once the reception begins, you could always task someone with moving it into the tent Smiley smile
