If you're on a budget don't be afraid to ask people to borrow things or to try to negotiate for better deals and look for sales and coupons for items you need

I totally agree with the pp's. Everyone has a budget, so it’s important to set this out and decide how much exactly you are comfortable spending on your wedding. This will help you keep on track with your spending and deter overspending!

The biggest cost of any wedding is the guest list. A smaller guest list means a smaller venue, less money spent on food and drinks, less money on rentals and less money party favors! It makes sense! If you are on a tighter budget, you should consider having a smaller guest list or perhaps family and close friends.

I second this as well. The budget was the most important thing for us to do. Then we found our venue and made our guest list. We are working to finalize it now before we start sending save the dates.
