What area of Maryland are you in?

Have you checked out Annmarie Gardens? It's in southern Maryland. I was going to have my wedding there, but had too much going on to track down several vendors so I went with an all in one type place. But the gardens are beautiful and they have several options on the grounds for where to have your ceremony and/or reception.

I thought it might be a good option because they don't have a list of approved vendors. You can contract whoever you want or provide the catering yourself and you can provide your own alcohol and hire a bartender if you plan on serving. That alone could save you significant money. You do have to coordinate all of your rentals though (tables, chairs, tents, etc.) but you have the flexibility to shop around.

Is $6K your budget for just the venue? If so, you have a world of options if you travel outside the major cities. Running Hare Vineyard in Prince Frederick is gorgeous and just added a new reception hall. I think their site fee is around $4K. They do require that you use their caterer and their wine and craft brews, so you wouldn't be able to serve liquor. I think if you go that route, you can land on around $70pp for food and beverage. The site really is lovely. It looks like a Tuscan vineyard.

    Good luck!

I'm not in Maryland, but have you considered community centers or firehouse banquet halls? They tend to let you bring in your own caterer, alcohol, decorations, etc. They often supply tables and chairs though and often have a low rental fee for the space.

    Hi Vianni,

check out PG County parks rental spaces. They have amazing deals. They get even better if you (or someone you know) is a PG county resident.

    ...but you're already married?

I'm with Julia. Huge difference if that's your catering/venue budget vs. budget for the whole wedding. Need more info.

Your status says your married? 8/29/2015.....is it suppose to be 2016? Also, make sure you change your avatar so people don't think your a troll.

Also, there is a cute venue called "The Inn at Mitchell House" its in Chestertown, MD. The pictures are beautiful.

For that price you most likely will not find an all inclusive place. I am in se Minnesota and I am scraping the bottom of the barrel to stay at my 6k.

I agree, look into nom traditional venues similar to what JCC suggested. Also remember that DIY doesn't always = savings. I've found myself spending more on DIY things than had I just bought them. Good luck- I hope you find what you are looking for!
