HELP!! Venue in MA or NH

FutureMrsDeMorais, on January 20, 2014 at 10:10 PM Posted in Planning 0 13

Ok girls. We will be getting married june 2015 and we will have about 160 - 170 guests. I really need help with a cheaper venue maybe that lets us do our own catering I know its hard for that many guests but we cant afford paying $92 per person :/ we are also looking for a place where we can have an outside ceremony and indoor reception. HELPPPP PLEASEE!!!

You're going to pay more for June because that's peak wedding time around here. If you push back to maybe the first week of May you'll get much better prices because most places will still offer you off peak prices.

My suggestions are: Haverhill CC, Haverhill MA, Granite Rose, Hampstead, NH or Harris Pelham Inn, Pelham, NH

    Good luck!

I'm not sure what your budget is like, but I'm from southern New Hampshire and I went to a wedding at the Atkinson Resort and Country Club last summer where they had an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception and it was beautiful. It is $65 a person, which can get expensive with a larger number of guests, but if its within your budget I would absolutely look into it.

We're getting a serious discount from the Saphire Estate for having a November Sunday wedding. I think they're normally $70-$80 pp on average, but we're getting a $20 pp discount. I would get in touch with them and see if they can work with your budget; you might want to consider a Friday or Sunday wedding to fit your budget.

They actually have two venues (the Saphire Estate and the Villa), but the packages are the same for both. But the Estate is SUPER great for outdoor ceremony + indoor reception, so I highly recommend that particular site.

I don't know if they do ceremonies outside, but Spinelli's in lynnfield (20 minutes from Boston) is gorgeous. That's where I'm having my reception. The value is amazing! I was shocked how much is included in my package. The most expensive meal is $81 pp and that's a filet. Check it out!

Best venue I found (but didnt do because it was too far for 1/3 of the guests) Harvey's Farm in NH. They allow you to bring food/drinks yourself.

Myriad Ballroom in Uxbridge, MA is also nice - although I didnt like it when I looked at it because the bar was seperate from the ballroom.

Holiday Inn in Boxborough, MA - awesome indoor spot that feels like you are outside.

    Goodl uck

FutureMrsP where is Harvey's Farm? I've been looking at different NH venues that let you bring your own catering and have never heard of this place. Sounds like it would be worth checking out.

I live in southern nh. I looked at atkinson country club, brookstone, promises to keep, manchester country club, and the granite rose. I booked the granite rose, but it is expensive. atkinson is not that much cheaper and if you do 2 meal choices, ALL of the meals cost the amount of the more expensive ones. if it was $65/pp, it was NOT including tax and service charges. the chairs are also super ugly, and the chair covers are expensive. brookstone was a little cheaper, and so was promises to keep (the owner of promises to keep is a chef, so the food is what he really cares about). have you looked into hotels? i went to a bridal show at a hotel in nashua that was AWESOME. don't know the prices. i'm sorry, i'm not sure of any places that let you bring an outside caterer

Try searching for a venue on Event Wire. It's a sister site of wedding wire but is much more useful when you are searching for venues

Check out The Log Cabin in Holyoke, MA. Prices are $56 or $66 per person depending on the day of your wedding.
