The great thing about your wedding is that it is YOUR wedding. No one can tell you what traditions to keep or which to choose not to use. If you don’t have a flower girl, then you don’t have a flower girl! It will still be an amazing day and it won’t change much. Do whatever works for you!

We just aren't having one or a ring bearer.

We're having flower girls (our daughters) but I don't even think they will be using flower petals since it's just too messy. They'll probably hold mini bouquets or something similar. There isn't really an alternative to flower girls in my opinion, you either have them or you don't have to have them. Either way, your wedding will be beautiful. Perhaps a nice floor runner? Would be nice aesthetically.

We are not have a flower girl or a bring bearer, and we are not doing any alternatives. I don’t think having the petals is necessary, but if you want them, you could always have your aisle pre-petaled as part of your decorations.

I’ve seen posts where people use their grandmother’s as substitutes.

Thanks. Yes thought about my nana doing it but think we will go with having some flowers pre arranged along side the aisle runner plus i have my godson as the ring security/ring bearer and that will be so cute. Thanks for the reassurance ladies. 90 days out second guessing decisions I've already made.

We aren't have one. We aren't having anyone walk before us. It's your wedding, you can make it as unique or traditional as you like.

I'm not sure I've actually been to a wedding with a flower girl. It's not exactly a faux Pas if you don't have one

People only have one if they are close to young kids ( or their own) that they want to show off. No one goes looking for them, as they are not necessary.

We arent having a flower girl. My eight year old isn't interested. She wants to carry the rings on a pillow! It's your wedding, do what you want!

Our daughter will be our flower girl too. I’m giving her a flower wand!

I think the petals prearranged along the side of the runner will be pretty. In my experience, the flower girl either drops huge clumps or just a couple petals- they aren’t thinking aesthetic and spreading them evenly for pictures. To me, it’s just cute and we’re only having one because we have a daughter who will be five and it’s the perfect role for her in her princess dress!

How big is your wedding party? You can always have a few of the wedding party people drop some flowers along the way if you’d like Smiley smile or line the aisle with flowers first

I'm not having one. I'm having my maid of honor go before me as the announcement person but I'm cool just walking down the normal aisle. At my venue we'd have to sweep up the petals after if I has a flower girl and that's just annoying.

We aren't having a flower girl. Although it would've been nice, there isn't a young enough girl in either of our families. The ring bearer is going to be his God son.
