Maybe you can have someone make it for you. Ive never really seen one but i would first look at pirate dresses and just make one in white or whatever color you want. Good luck!

Try eBay? I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for but some of these are cool

They can make that second one in different colors if you scroll to the middle of the listing, so you could customize it a little. Hope something there helps.

I found this article with lots of pirate theme wedding ideas. There's a picutre of the brides dress and I think it does a nice job of complimenting the theme without feeling like a costume.

IMO, your best bet is to find a wedding dress with pirate type details...maybe a corset style bodice and bell sleeves.

    Great theme! Good luck!

Here are two specific dresses I found. (Try to Google "corset wedding dresses" or "bell sleeve wedding dresses" instead of "pirate dresses")

Aurg Matey! I did a pirate wedding last year, here are some of the sites that helped us...Piratemerch.com Costumesgalore.com and Buycostumes.com

As the officiant I was the ships captain, we created a ceremony that had a wonderful mix of pirate and non-pirate "speak", it was great fun!

    Happy planning!

    Hi there!

I actually commissioned my dress from an AMAZING woman who owns this business:

    http://damseldress.com/

She makes the most amazing corsets that really, really work. And they are super comfortable! She makes gorgeous, GORGEOUS pieces. She is also on etsy, if you want to see more of her work.

    http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5094877&ga_search_query=damselinthis&ga_search_type=seller_usernames

I just adore her. I have bought several pieces from her, and I knew that she would be perfect to make my gown. She's great to work with, has a high quality product (it's not a cheapy costume), and it's REALLY reasonable pricing!!!!

In general, I'm all about costuming, so if you need any more ideas just let me know. :-)

I think you could easily pull and Princess and the pirate style wedding dress. Think of the time period when pirates were about. I think if you found a vintage replica dress that fits the time period you are going for it would look wonderful. Try the 18th and 19th century as a style guide. That was the "golden age" for pirates.

Go to www.etsy.com. I was searching wedding dresses today and saw something that reminded me of a pirate dress. (-; It looked sort of like something that the pirate chick wore from Pirates of the Caribbean. You know, the voodoo lady.

It's all handmade stuff and not too much of it is crafty ugly. Most is hip crafty. Most are open to custom orders and I'm finding that the pricing is very good compared to ready to wear stuff.

    Enjoy!
