Help! Need a venue for March 2020! (under $4500)

Bev, on September 30, 2019 at 10:53 AM Posted in Maryland Planning 1 8
We want to only spend $6000 total on our entire wedding, but I’m having trouble finding a reception venue. It might just be too unrealistic.

Heres what we want:
1. Saturday morning/day wedding and reception.
2. 80ish guests
3. Alcohol included (or we bring our own).
4. Provide tables and chairs.
5. Under $4500 for venue, furniture, food.

It could be a restaurant that includes this all, or a venue alone. But then the venue itself would have to be around $1000, so we can hire a caterer. . . Ugh.

Maryland is a rather expensive place to get married. I live in Maryland, but we got married in Pennsylvania. Our families don't live in Maryland so it made sense to get married in Pennsylvania, but we talked about getting married in Maryland, but after looking at the pricing we realized our money would go much further in Pennsylvania. That being said I thing it is going to be difficult to plan a wedding for only $6,000 in Maryland. My suggestion would be to look for a nontraditional wedding.

This is not with an hour of Germantown (more like 2.5) but our venue in Southern Maryland is $2000 (for ceremony/reception) and has all that you'd like. It's Belmont Farms in Clements, MD. Probably not geographically desirable but the price is what sold us!

It is $17/head for food (owned by a caterer)

$1800 for Venue + $200 for ceremony on site

    $300 for bridal suite

    BYOB just provide a bartender.

Thanks for the advice, everyone! We found our PERFECT venue at Holly Hills Country Club in Ijamsville, MD. It is more than our original budgeted amount, but when we did the site tour, we couldn't pass it up. (Had to increase our budget to $8000.) But, it's perfect for us. Smiley smile
