Help!! Neckline alteration

Sarah, on December 18, 2014 at 12:04 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 2

My dress has a straight neckline and wayyy too much space for cleavage that I don't have. It has boning in it and I am wondering if altering it into a sweetheart neckline that fits will be too complicated and/ or too expensive.

Has anyone else had a similar alteration done and how much did it cost you?

Thanks!

I haven't got that kind of alteration done but it should be simple enough - a lot of dresses get changed from a straight across to a sweetheart. I asked the dressmakers to change my neckline while they are making it but the shop was quite happy to get it in non sweetheart and organise the alteration.

It shouldn't be an issue, but altering to a sweetheart will just make more space for cleavage. . . maybe you could alter to a sweetheart, but then add some netting to make an illusion neckline (and cut-back on the decolletage)
