Help! My wedding website content just disappeared

joyce, on June 16, 2014 at 8:22 AM Posted in Planning 1 9

Hi everyone,

I posted my wedding website up for people to view when I sent out my save the date. After it being fully functional and working correctly with all the appropriate content for 2-3 months, I looked back to see the website and all the content is GONE! all the pictures are gone as well!!!! My fiance and I did not click on anything or erase anything.

Has this happened to anyone? Can I somehow retrieve the contents back b/c I'm not looking forward to typing and uploading all the pics again.

ANY HELP will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

OH! It happened to me too! I thought it was just me! I'm so frustrated! It won't let me reenter the information either... the 'wheel' just keeps spinning

    Hi there,

Our sever started experiencing some caching issues late Saturday night which continued on to Sunday and Today - these issues are the reason why you are experiencing an error page when loading your wedding websites.

Our development team is aware and is working on this fix as their main priority and we believe our servers should be up running normally within the next 24 hours. Until then, you may notice loading issues with your wedding website but please note that the information on your website has not been lost and will be completely accessible with our development team's fix.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience during this time and appreciate your patience. Please feel free to ask me any questions in the meantime!

Something similar happened to our wedding website last night as well. Here is the link to our discussion thread:

Please help! It's very important that we get it back up soon!

The content is gone and we can't even re-enter it because the page gets frozen anytime we try to add anything. The wheel on the page just keeps spinning.

Yup same thing happened to us. Hopefully it is up and running soon. This website is essential to our destination wedding and has all the links to our registries. Yes we need these gifts!

Hi, I've had a similar problem. Did you get to have yours solved?

That’s really strange and I can totally understand why you’re feeling stressed out about this If you didn’t delete anything and your fiancé didn’t either it might be an issue with your website hosting service Have you tried logging into your account to check if the files are still available Sometimes hosting providers perform updates or maintenance that can make content temporarily inaccessible I’d also suggest checking your email in case you received any notifications from your hosting provider regarding changes to your site or storage issues Hopefully there is a way to restore everything without too much hassle and you won’t have to reupload everything again.

I'm familiar with this problem. Back up your site just in case. You can restore everything in a couple of minutes. Personally, I use cms Drupal on my sports blog. I had a similar problem. There was some kind of failure. I fixed everything by uploading a backup copy of the site. By the way, does anyone know how to properly implement an upgrade from Drupal 7 to Drupal 10? I found the instructions, but as a result of the upgrade I have two modules do not work.
