Help me, My venue chairs are ugly! What can i do?

Lynnie Pin, on January 20, 2014 at 3:08 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 21

Attached is a pic of the chairs at my venue, they are kinda ugly. Chair covers=Out of the question. same with renting.... I also seen ideas on pinterest but im wondering if you guys can help.

I wanted to keep it simple so I was thinking about doing something with the little hole at the top of the chairs, any ideas?

Malibue blue

dark browns/golds

and whites are my colors

OMG! Your chairs are MUCH better than mine!

These are mine, they have cushions that we can tie on but thats where I am at for the moment.

I hope that makes you feel better...I would kill to have your chairs! haha

@MrsStobe I thought about that but I have over 150 chairs and I wasn't sure how costly that would get on me Smiley sad DO you think itll look weird if I just get some flowers and attach them around the hole

What about just tying long strands of ribbon from the holes at the top of the chair?

Oooh - that's a tough one...maybe something like this? It's less fabric and would be easy to tie through the top hole...

Your chairs are fine and are pretty neutral. Save the money, no one besides you will care.

Well, depending on where you can source your material from, DIY might be more expensive than renting. I went on craigslist and got a quote for chair covers for $0.69 per cover for renting (I would have to install myself and tear down and return it myself). That's 103 dollars for 150 people.

    Just another thought.

Those aren't as bad as mine - red pleather.

When they're pushed in they weren't that bad. They're only out when there's a roomful of people. I couldn't justify the expense of covering them. I don't think anyone cared about our chairs.

Our venue has chairs similar to yours, I think we are going to leave them. We don't want to waste money on covers and to me just adding ribbon or flowers won't make them look any better.

Those chairs really aren't that bad, but I know you can rent just the chair back covers

Just remove all the ugly chairs and replace with nicer rental chairs if wrapping something on them like tulle or ribbon won't help.

They aren't bad at all! I am covering mine with chair covers through a local company. $3/chair but TOTALLY worth it since I am able to use clickers cash from a bridal show! Smiley smile

They're fine. I agree with GameCox. Nobody is going to notice... It seems to me like a waste of time and money to decorate and/or replace them with rentals

If it really bothers you that much, i would buy some fabric from a store, cut it in differing lengths and just loop knot em around the chairs. I highly doubt people are going to be like "omg did you see the chairs at her wedding? they were horrid, ruined the whole day!"

Your chairs aren't that bad! They actually look a lot like mine were..or maybe they were a maroon color? I'm pretty sure they were navy though. See 2ish years later and I can't even remember what the chairs looked like! Neither will your guests. Not worth the money dressing them up!!

ETA: okay I looked at my wedding pics.they were maroon..and uglier than yours. Case in point! ;-)
