Help me estimate how much fabric i need?

Amber, on July 19, 2020 at 6:54 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 7
The structure I’m wrapping fabric around is 35 ft. If I loop that how much extra should I get to account for the loop/looseness?

A few more details might be helpful. Do you have a rough drawing of what you're wanting to do? How much draping (loops) do you want and how far apart?

Gorgeous venue! I would estimate 1.5-2× that length (53-70ft) to be safe. You can tie off the extra at the bottom.

At least 16-18 yards of fabric. It's about 12 yards if you wrapped it twice. Depending on how much drape you want, you may want to get closer to 20 yards of fabric

Do you (or anyone) have any recommendations on how to hang fabric to block the lake area that’s visible on the back and side?

Youtube has videos on how to hang fabric on an arch as decor and creating a fabric wall

Type in 'how to drape an arch"
