Help! i don't know what kind of petticoat i need.

Hi! I was in the same boat of wanting a petticoat but I couldn't decide what kind. I think it depends on how heavy the skirt material on your dress is.

I have a big puffy crinoline petticoat (from Amazon) that worked really well under some dresses that I tried. Those dresses were more lightweight, like a tulle material.

However, the dress I actually chose for my wedding has a heavier skirt material (several layers of organza with a heavy underneath layer). Because of this, the crinoline petticoat didn't do much because it was weighed down, so i got an a-line hoop skirt (also from Amazon).

I've even tried the hoop skirt with the crinoline petticoat on top, and it is really nice and puffy but the hoop skirt on it's own is totally fine for me.

Something to note is that some crinoline petticoats can look really lumpy even after they're steamed, because the material is stiff. But under your dress with the beautiful layering/tiers/waves, I don't think you'd have a problem with a crinoline petticoat looking lumpy.

You could try an A-Line tulle petticoat or a hoop ballroom one from cocomelody. The A-line could fill out the gown sufficiently. David's has a ball gown slip that is less poofy than cocomelody. There should be other places.

I think Dani and I might have been looking at the same big puffy crinoline petticoat off Amazon, but that's what I recommend for the full look like you want. I am a Amazon pro-shopper so I suggest to check out Amazon.
