Help! Groomsmen attire doesn’t fit

Meghan, on May 6, 2021 at 7:25 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6
We are a month out from the wedding and 3 of my groomsmen’s custom pants came in too small. Men’s Warehouse says they won’t be delivered until 3 days before the wedding, which means barely any time to get them altered.

Help! I need a backup plan! They are wearing a specific shade of dark blue pants. Should I prepare for the worst and find something else or wait?

If it were me, I would look for a backup option in the event there are additional issues.

You need a solid plan B, just in case the larger pants do not come in. You have time to put another plan together....although, pantless groomsmen may get you lots of attention on social media. You may even get a viral video out of the whole deal

That is standard, and in the contract. I have een in a couple events, chilren's suits for out of town funeral where we were visiting, and hibby as best man
To them it was routine as the cleaners, 2 days away.
We had been advised of a bearby cleaner with suit hemming, and made the appt in the day before the event, 2 after finding ripped and too small things. Took little longer than pressing.

If the groomsmen were measured at Men's Warehouse and the pants don't fit, that's on Men's Warehouse. Were you planning on having custom made-to-measure pants taken for additional tailoring? It shouldn't be necessary if they were made correctly to begin with, so hopefully they come in correct the second time.

I would find a backup - possibly in stock pants you can order from somewhere else that has a good return policy. If matching is super important to you I would order a backup set for the entire wedding party. Order them in a timeframe that will ensure they come in before the wedding but the wedding itself falls within the return window (common return window is 30 days, so I'd order probably 14-28 days out from the wedding, it will take a few days to ship to you, and typically the 30 day window starts on the day they are delivered). When they come in DO NOT remove the tags. If the new custom pants come in from Men's Warehouse and don't fit, then rip the tags off the new "off the shelf" pants and switch everyone into those. If the Men's Warehouse pants come in and fit fine, send the non-custom pants back (with tags on, in brand new condition) for a full refund.

They were custom pants and 3 groomsmen were either measured terribly wrong or they ordered wrong because they came in too small. Any recommendations on places to look for a backup? I’m just looking for dark blue pants.

If you are looking for just navy dress pants you should be able to get them at any department store such as Kohl's or Macy's.
