Help Finding 85 cent/3 ounce stamps?!

Hi everyone,

We're getting ready to send out our invitations (finally!) and so I took my invite to the post office and it weighed 75 cents, 5 cents over the standard 2-ounce forever stamps. We're adding wax seals to our inner envelope, which the post office official informed me would add about another 10 cents. I can't find 3-ounce wedding stamps anywhere, or even $1.00 ones to be safe. Any suggestions? Do I really have to put two lower denomination stamps together?! Thanks so much!!

They don’t have them! I would recommend going to another post office and having them weighed again. Mine had a wax seal on the outside and the first post office told me it would be 85 cents, the second told me it would be the 70 cent stamp and no extra cost to cans cancel.

Honestly the 85 cent stamps are so ugly, if it’s in your budget maybe just use 2 of the wedding ones that are the forever stamps. It might be unnecessary postage, but a few cents an envelope not to have the ugly stamp would seem worth it for me!

I went on the USPS site and ordered from them directly. It took less than a week.

Hey Gabriela!
I would definitely recommend you add the wax seal to an envelope and bring it to a second post office for a weighing!
You want to make sure you have the correct postage amount or it could end up costing you more in the long run!
As Kelly mentioned, perhaps you could order the stamps online?

Hi! I ended up buying the 85 cent stamps with a famous author on them, just to be safe. They're not the prettiest, but it was just for our outer envelope to get the job done.
