Help! Destination wedding at Sandals, need help with mua

Carla, on November 1, 2019 at 8:53 PM Posted in Planning 0 4
Hi everyone! I’m getting married at Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay and I have so much stress happening! Some people want to book off of the resort and Sandals just told us that they will only allow 20% of our total guests to be booked off of the resort. This is difficult because I’m already at the 20% and I have my own photographer and make up artist that will be off the resort that need to get a day pass to attend the wedding. What should I do Smiley sad

What happens if more than 20% stay off the resort? Does sandals refuse to host the wedding in that case, or is it just more expensive? If the latter IMO that’s a cost you should eat. Resorts can be very expensive so I understand why some guests may prefer to stay elsewhere. It may be the deciding factor for if they can even afford to attend the wedding, period.

We almost got married at a Sandals resort and I was the MOH at Sandals Royal Bahamian. I’d make sure your guests know the costs and time restrictions on the Guest Passes as they’re quite expensive and I personally wouldn’t cover those extra costs if the guests are choosing not to stay on property within your room block.
