Help!!! Can't decide which bridesmaid dress i should choose...t.t

Nancy, on July 23, 2018 at 10:37 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 20

My wedding will be next year. I'm designing my wedding gown with a designer. But I think I should start checking my girls' dresses also. Can you share your BMs dresses here? I wonder if I should choose zipper closure or lace up closure. I will talk to my girls for sure, but wonder how you guys did. Here are some dresses I like for my wedding. I kinda have allodoxaphobia now after seeing so many...

my favorite one. not sure my girls would choose it since it is over their budget lolHelp!!! Can't decide which bridesmaid dress i should choose...t.t 1

I’d pass on the first one. That dress would be flattering on very few women. I like the last one the best.

Are these dresses from a reputable site?

Yeah the first one of kind of mermaid style which is hard for most people to pull off. The last two are going to be more flattering probably.

I would put the first one out of the running simply because it’s over budget. It’s not really fair to pressure your bridesmaids into a dress they can’t afford. They may feel like they have to go along with the dress which could be a burden financially for them.

Yea, I know mermaid is a picky style. I just like the design a lot. Most likely we won't choose it...

Never bought dresses from those two websites. But the site lunss has many positive customer reviews. I will check more on this.

U are totally right. I don't wanna put any economic pressures to my girls. Their budget is under $150. How much did ur girls paid for the dresses?

I really think the last one is the best option. For my bridesmaid and MOH I gave them the color I wanted and let them pick the style they wanted and felt comfortable in. One got hers from David's Bridal and the other from JJs House.

I saw those on Etsy as well. Have you already received the dresses? If so are they good quality?

This is the dress everyone likes so far. I think it’ll go perfect with our bright summery wedding.

These were our dresses! Right around $150 at David’s Bridal. They all loved them and are happy because they will actually wear them again!

Here are the ones my bridesmaids helped me decide on! They are fairly priced and fit all of their body types the best. Ask them what kind of dress they are comfortable in and that should help!

This was the dress for my one daughter’s wedding. Keep in mind that alterations can be expensive, so when you say the budget is $150 does that include alterations? My youngest daughter paid $108 in addition to the $200 she paid for the dress (she lives in Chicago). I thought that was high and asked my seamstress about it (I live in Wisconsin) and she told me her average for BM dresses was $110. On that note, I was able to get by with only $20 in alterations plus $20 to have it steamed for my MOB dress because it was taken up by the shoulders instead of hemmed, which would have cost $45 per layer (2 layers) plus an additional $20 to steam it. Just something to keep in mind when working with people’s budgets.

Don't look at dresses over their budget unless you plan on covering the difference. If I was a BM and said my budget is $100 and the bride wanted me to pay for a $229 dress I'd back out of the wedding.

Also the style of the first one is way too much for a BM. It looks like a pink wedding dress with the train. Trains are for brides not bm's.

Hey Nancy my wedding is not until November 10th 2018. Trust me I was skeptical too until I ordered one and saw the quality of the dress. There is a bandeau that comes with it to cover a bra I think its extra and the shipping is about $15. The best part is they are made in the USA so i didn't have to worry about it coming and being damaged or lost in shipping. I am probably the hardest person to please and I was so happy when I got them ...Good Luck!!!

    Hello Nancy!!

It looks like you got some great suggestions/options from community members! Although I love the first one, I feel like the price and style might not work for all of your bridesmaids! The third one is gorgeous! I love that color. Have you found anymore dresses that you're considering?!

The first one is gorgeous, but a little too much for a bridesmaid dress in my opinion. Think the third option would look good on everyone and is a really pretty dress. More of a bridesmaid style.
