Me and my FH decided to postpone our much anticipated wedding on April 11. We love our family and friends, and did not want to put any of their health and safety in jeopardy. We were expecting around 500 ppl, a lot of out of towners and older folks.
This is so heartbreaking, i feel for all the brides that have to make this difficult decision as well. Thankfully, most of our vendors have been empathetic and willing to work with us on a new date. Wishing the same for all of you out there that are going thru the same thing.
This was not just a wedding for us, this was the start of a new chapter and something to celebrate for me and my FH. My FH lost his brother, mom and beloved dog in the last 8 years. In the last 5 years, i lost my father, my mother, my beloved doggie, and just 3 weeks ago i lost my sister. My brother is the only one left, and he is in S.Korea. He was supposed to be flying down to walk me down the aisle, but now he can’t. My FH and I are both about to turn 40, and this is our first and only marriage 🤞🏼. After our rocky on and off dating for 6 years, we were finally sealing the deal. This was more than just a wedding for us, it was finally a time for celebration instead of mourning.I’m thankful the Lord has got my back, or else i’d be in pieces right now. My heart goes out to all the brides who are making the difficult decision. Praying for everyone’s safety and hope you all are able to reschedule with no problems. Take care and be safe!
