Healdsburg, ca (sonoma) wedding - looking for pre-/post event ideas

Kristin, on November 16, 2019 at 9:41 PM Posted in California Planning 0 2

Hi everyone,

we're getting married in Healdsburg, CA (Sonoma) July 2020. Most of our gusts will be flying in from all over the US and Europe. Hence we'd like to make it more of a wedding weekend (thinking of an optional Happy Hour the day before the wedding and a wine tasting the day after).

Would love to hear if anyone has any suggestions for a good (and inexpensive) Happy Hour place and a winery that may allow for group tastings.

Thank you!
Kristin

Welcome to the WeddingWire community, Kristin!

This all sounds like so much fun. Your guests will love this Smiley smile

On the WeddingWire venue directory, wineries are listed as many couples have their weddings at one. Perhaps one of those may be a good option for the wine tasting. You can check them out here - Healdsburg Winery & Brewery Wedding Venues.

Yelp has a list of highly recommended happy hour spots in Healdsburg listed you can check out here for the day before event - Best Happy Hour near Healdsburg, CA. You could also check out Yelp for local wineries.

How many guests are coming from out of town?

Thank you Cliodhna! Will check out he Healdsburg brewery.

We are expecting 80 guests and 95% will be from out of town. Assuming 40 will come to happy hour and maybe 50 to the Wine tasting.
We’ve checked online and onsite but are hoping someone has some concrete recommendations.
Most places recommend securing space for a private happy Hour (we were hoping for something more informal ... it’s the day before and travel day for most so guests may pop in and out without giving us a headcount upfront).
Similar for the wine tasting the day after the wedding. Appreciate any recommendations for wondered that we could just secure a tasting or reserve a table for 50 people (not sure this even exists...).
We’re not planning to find those events but more give our guests a „group activity“ everyone can join if they want (if that makes sense Smiley smile)
