Having trouble w/ wedding party look (girls)

My maid of honor will be wearing a different color dress but still the same dress. I cant Speak to the flower girl question as she will be dressing up in a Disney princess costume. Her hair will match her outfits princess.

It’s up to you if the MOH stands out. I’ve seen the MOH wear a different color or have a bigger bouquet. Most people will know she’s MOH anyway since she’s standing next to you at the altar. I’ve never been to a wedding where all of the bridesmaids wear the same hairstyle. I personally think that’s super outdated. People have different taste, personalities, and hair types. What looks good on one person won’t look good on another. If you want everyone to wear their hair in an updo, great, but there’s no reason it needs to be the same one. I especially don’t think my 5 year old flower girl needs to have the same style as my 28 year old bridesmaid. Your bridesmaids should be your closest friends, let them wear a style that suits them, don’t force them to look like clones.

I agree with Caytlyn, they don’t all have to have the same hairstyle. If you want matching dresses, shoes, and jewelry that’s one thing, but having their hairstyles match exactly is going a little overboard IMO. The MOH usually has a slightly different dress or different hairstyle (if BM all have their hair up, maybe her’s if down)

If you want moh to stand out you could let her have something different than the others. Mine was the only one in a shorter dress

The weddings I’ve been to or in did not have completely matching bridesmaids. I’ve seen some with different style or color dresses or different bouquets but usually hair and makeup is done to individual tastes. This might be personal opinion, but I think people look their best and will be most comfortable if they can pick the style of hair that works best for their face, hair color, hair type etc which probably won’t be the same for everyone.

I would find something to make your MOH stand out and it can be a different color dress or a different style on the same color or different flowers, etc. as far as everyone having the same hairstyle I think that’s too much. Everyone doesn’t need to look the same. They are all different people and should be able to express who they are somehow on that day. In all my years I don’t think I’ve ever seen that. Good luck!

You don’t need to have the MOH stand out if you don’t want them to, that’s up to you. As for hair, if you are requiring them to all have the same style (which may not look good on all of them as everyone’s hair is different) you should definitely foot the bill for that. My girls are wearing the same dress in alternating colors and can do whatever they want with shoes and hair.

The MOH doesn't normally look different than everyone else, she just has a larger bouquet and the flower girls don't normally match the bridesmaids. All of the flower girls I've seen are in white/ivory. If you really must have everyone the same, make sure you consider your bridesmaid's hair types and insecurities. Meaning, don't have everyone wear skin tight dresses if someone doesn't like their stomach or hips, and don't come up with a hair style that doesn't work for all hair types. Thin vs thick hair, long vs short hair and curly vs straight hair isn't all going to be able to do the same thing. Plus, some people hate the way their hair looks certain ways like some people don't like the way their hair looks when its completely up. So maybe have everyone get the same A-line dresses and a have a half up, half down hair style. That would probably be the safest bet for everyone looking and feeling their best while still having the matching look you want. Also, keep in mind if you are requiring hair to be professionally done in a certain style you should pay for it.

The only thing that matches amongst my girls is the color of their dresses. We're going to have different HAMU styles. I would much rather their own styles and personalities shine then to have them wear something they don't like.
