Hey guys! Hope you’re all staying safe!

I’m set to get married September 2021. Is it too early to start planning? Where would I even start if I do plan now? Really clueless lol

Hey hey! Nope never too early to plan. I'd start with the venue vision, your dress vision and budget!

Our date is a month before yours, we have already secured a date with deposit at our dream venue. Luckily we were able to visit right before lockdown. I would start with researching venues as a lot of 2020 brides are postponing to next year and popular dates are filling up fast! Other than that I’ve researched dresses compiled a list of stores I plan on visiting when they reopen. Gotten price quotes from photographers as well as invitation companies. Picking out small details from home - first dance song, entrance song, guest list...and staying positive! Hopefully this gives you some places to startSmiley smile

Best things to start with are Budget and Venue ( they book up quick for 2 years out). Pick a date from the venue, season and colors all come into play now ( PINTEREST IS YOUR BEST FRIEND). Then you should start collecting vendors ( Photographer in my opinion is most important). The dress depending on your budget and what you want can take up to 8 months to come in (and then you have alterations). Then find other vendors and decor for your theme.

Personally I set 1-2 goals a month and it helped me focus and not get too overwhelmed with decisions. Best advise I have for you is to get multiple quotes and ask lots of questions - there are no silly ones!

Never too early! I started planning over a year and a half before my wedding date. Start with deciding on a date and then go after your most important vendors and book them (venue first, photographer, caterer, florals/planner if you want, DJ) and then the little things will come after! Happy planning!

Oh yes start now! I got engaged May 2019 and I’m sooo glad I started planning right away( wedding sept 2020). You have a date so now you need to talk budget with your FH. Then get an idea of how you want the wedding to look. Then look at venues online. Then get your Pinterest on for everything else😍. Have fun🎉🎊

I’m getting married in November of next year and I already have the venue, dj, photographer, my dress and my veil. So I’d say no, not too early!! You should start sooner rather than later to make sure you get the date you want!

Definitely not too early. Especially because a lot of people are rescheduling their weddings from this year to next year - so there might be more competition to get vendors and venues!
Definitely figure out your budget first. Are you paying for it all or are you getting help from family? If family is helping, you want to make sure to figure out how much they’re willing to spend.
I used the vendor tool on WeddingWire a lot. You can search for different categories of vendors on there and message them through there. Super helpful! You should focus on getting your venue. You’ll need to make sure that they have your date available. Good luck! It’s fun!

No, you should for sure start looking now! We took the last available summer/fall Saturday my venue had left, and we book 1.5 years in advanced! Vendors book up quickly, so you have to book early to get what you want!

Honestly, with COVID-19 effecting the entire world, I would start planning now as soon as possible! Especially since more and more vendors are getting booked for 2021. I usually start with a budget and go from there. I would most likely start with booking your photographer first and then decorator.

Hey! We’ve actually been able to narrow down a venue that we love. We were going to check it out before everything shut down but I guess we have no choice but to wait.

I know! That’s what we’re worried about. We’re hoping we can just lock in the venue that we want ASAP.
