Has anyone bought a dress online??

So I found a ton of beautiful dresses on the website light in the box but hesitant to purchase anything because it's online. Has anyone had any experience from the website? Anyone willing to risk making the purchase?? I'm trying to find a dress for cheap that doesn't look cheap.

They are knock off dresses! Most of those online retailers are, if not all, just stealing designers pictures and putting them up on their website.

Why Don't you consider buying a used dress from another bride on tradesy.com or some other used dress website? You would get a quality gown that way!

I bought a used designer gown on Tradesy.com. Got the real deal & saved a lot of money. I would be wary of sites like light in the box, as those are knockoff sites. They usually post designer photos, but then they just make a knockoff based on the picture. The material, embellishments, & construction tend to be lower quality than the designer they are trying to copy. It's a gamble.

I ordered on eBay and I got the sizing wrong so it had to be let out 3.5" but my seamstress had no trouble with it. I do not regret my purchase.

    What everyone else said!

I can tell you that I ordered a veil and hair combs through Light in a box and the quality was pretty good. It does take a long time to deliver (it's coming from China) so allow enough time.

I bought my original dress in store at an off-the-rack sale after visiting a few salons. I ended up gaining weight so it no longer fit Smiley sad. I was running out of time and couldn't find anything else, so I ordered a dress online. I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews. I also chatted with the staff numerous times online and asked a ton of questions before I felt comfortable enough to try it. I ordered it custom sized and crossed my fingers! It didn't take long to arrive and the quality was amazing, I was very impressed. It looks exactly as pictured. The only thing was it was actually a bit big so I did have to get it taken in a bit.

I am absolutely IN LOVE with a custom dress from a designer on ETSY. With that being said, within the upcoming year I will go to a salon and try dresses on, including a similar style to the one I'm obsessing over. She has fantastic reviews so I'll probably end up purchasing from her with plenty of time that in the instance it's a flop, I have time to find something else. But I'm of course hoping to not have that problem, and to save a ton of money!

I got mine online, though I was worried I did proper research and crossed my fingers. I absolutely love my dress and can't wait to wear it this weekend. like PP stated go to a shop and try on dresses to find out what you like. You may find something there that's affordable and you love. but at least go try some on in person and see what's more of your style

Ive thought about but I'm gonna hit up this place about 1-2hrs drive from me. They have new and used dresses they say nothing is over $300 if no luck I might order online and have it altered. I'm not looking to spend much on a dress.

I bought mine from Covet Bridal, which allows you to order on the website, try on at home, and then return if you don't want it.
