The officiant was the hardest decision for us!

The venue was the hardest by far since everything around us was expensive or had an outside ceremony space, which we can't have since it'll be cold in February. After contacting about 60 venues, we found a place in a small town about an hour and a half away from us that's perfect (and it's 10 minutes from FH's parents' house, which is convenient for FH's family/friends)! Since then, it's been ceremony music! I really wanted to have 2-3 string players play during the ceremony, but all the quotes I've gotten so far are a lot more than I want to spend.

So far playlists have been a hassle. Does this song set the mood? Will other people like it?

It's picking an officiant for me as well. It's kind of funny because the ceremony really isn't a particularly impressive thing for us (we want something very short and sweet) but picking an officiant was a huge headache. Having a friend get ordained isn't a realistic option in our state, and a lot of the officiants I found seemed really expensive - mostly because they tended to seem to want to put together really indepth and long and personal ceremonies. Paying for that while only wanting the bare minimum made it a big hurdle.

Deciding on who was giving me away, my biodad or my stepdad. There is a long story of drama, and I went back and forth along but ultimately went with my stepdad who has been more of the father figure

Honestly, the thing we’re dragging our feet most about is the DJ. We don’t really want to have one, but can’t just hook up an IPod at our venue. Since we don’t want one, the cost is hard to stomach so... dragging our feet.

My worries will be the finding the Dj's . The past couple of Dj's I have for other events were horrible. Must have a great playlist.

I understand, I am thinking the same but instead of my stepdad. I'm concerning my older brother. I am not sure who to chose, my father or my brother or both.

We decided to DIY our music- a friend of ours is a musician and has some equipment. We're loading up some Spotify playlists for him and ta da!

And I agree with you, some wedding DJs can be horrible. I went to a wedding where the DJ reminded me of a bad 70s game show host.

Yes, The Dj's I used were playing music from the late 90's to early 2000's. Which I don't mind but we have requested new music and people request some song to be played but they did not want to listen. Waste of my money! Good idea though, I'll keep that in mind. Thank you!
