I went to a colleagues wedding and there was so much cleavage and skirts "up to there" that I was embarrassed even seeing it at such a momentous occasion. Now I am planning my wedding and trying to think of a way to tell those same colleagues that I don't want them half dressed in front of our elderly guests and children.

Any thoughts?

Agreed! As a bride who had a guest in a bridal ball gown, another in jeans, and a cousin in a body suit with a sheer tulle skirt, I truly didn't care who wore what.

It mattered that they took time out of their lives to watch me tell the man of my dreams that I'm down for whatever, forever. It mattered that they supported our relationship and gave us hugs and kisses.

Their presence was more important than their fashion choices.

If that is not important to you just be crystal clear with your guests what you deem unworthy so they know how to approach their RSVP.
